The next step on the evolutionary journey of school design

Originally designed for Nord Anglia Education, and subsequently operated as Guanghua School, the design explores progressive learning environments which fuse reading places with making and experimentation. A ground floor that modulates between the formal to casual and blurs the boundary between library and restaurant. The iconic theatre in the round is enveloped with practice spaces, each window framing the activity within as an expression of its activity to the wider community outside.
